An organization powered by women, the New York Junior League (NYJL) promotes volunteerism, develops women’s potential, and strengthens communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. NYJL volunteers are bound by a single goal: to improve the health and well-being of women, children, and families in our city. Comprising over 60 volunteer committees, including a Board of Directors, the NYJL works with nearly 70 community partners on health and education programs, public space improvement projects, city and state-level advocacy, and activities responding to immediate community needs.
