Accelerated Option

Prospective members with extensive personal, professional, or volunteer experience or who have extenuating circumstances preventing them from participating in the traditional course, may submit an application to be considered for the Accelerated Provisional Training Course.

The accelerated course is held over one weekend. Participants should have meaningful experience that can be applied to interactive sessions about leadership and volunteerism. All sessions are required and there is no option to participate virtually. The course is held in person at The Astor House (130 E 80th St).

Fall Accelerated Provisional Training Course Dates

  • Thursday, November 5 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, November 7 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, November 8 from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The traditional course is designed to promote relationship building with new and existing New York Junior League members. It explores our robust history of – and commitment to – meaningful community engagement. It is held over several months, as opposed to one weekend. If you are interested in submitting an application for the traditional course, an application can be submitted here after attending an orientation.
