NYJL 125th Anniversary

Celebrating 125 Years of Impact

Throughout 2026, the New York Junior League (NYJL) is proud to celebrate 125 years of advancing women’s leadership for meaningful community impact in New York City.

Since 1901, NYJL members have responded to the evolving needs of our city with purpose, compassion, and action. Thousands of volunteers have joined in our mission to strengthen communities, champion equity, and respond to the city’s most pressing needs—from settlement house support in the early 1900s to child welfare reform, literacy, anti-trafficking efforts, and today’s rapidly evolving challenges. Our 125th Anniversary is both a celebration of our extraordinary legacy and a recommitment to the work ahead.

The League officially kicked off this milestone year by ringing the Closing Bell at the New York Stock Exchange and celebrating at our 74th Annual Winter Ball. Additional 125th Anniversary programming is planned for the coming months. We invite members, supporters, and friends of the League to explore the events below and save the dates to join us throughout the year.
