Save the Date for the 2017 NYJL Forum for Nonprofits!
The NYJL Forum for Nonprofits (FNP) kicked off their year with an inspirational ice breaker, striking “power poses” following advice from social psychologist and author of the book “Presence”, Amy Cuddy. The positive energy from the first meeting continued as the committee plans for this year’s conference. Formerly known as the NYJL Volunteer Conference, the Forum’s full day event speaks to topics relevant to small and mid-size nonprofits through keynote addresses and moderated panel discussions. This event was created as a signature project for the NYJL Centennial in 2001 and, since that time, has taken place every April during National Volunteer Week.
The committee secures speakers and panelists, leveraging the relationships of our committee members, community partners, and the broader NYJL network. FNP connects industry experts and leaders with a broad network of conference attendees, including NYJL volunteers and nonprofit board members, executive directors, and staff. Each year, the FNP committee selects a topic of interest to the nonprofit community and develops programming that brings together industry experts for insightful discussion.
