An organization powered by women, the New York Junior League (NYJL) promotes volunteerism, develops women’s potential, and strengthens communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. NYJL volunteers are bound by a single goal: to improve the health and well-being of women, children, and families in our city. Comprising over 60 volunteer committees, including a Board of Directors, the NYJL works with nearly 70 community partners on health and education programs, public space improvement projects, city and state-level advocacy, and activities responding to immediate community needs.
Fundraising Events Senior Coordinator
As a member of NYJL’s Development team, the Fundraising Events Senior Coordinator supports the execution of NYJL fundraising events throughout the fiscal year, with a special emphasis on marathon teams, house tours, galas, shopping fundraisers, fitness events and a culinary fundraiser. Volunteer (Membership) Relations and Data Coordinator
Responsible for supporting the Membership Area–including the Volunteer Development, Affiliation and Training Councils–of the NYJL, the Coordinator will maintain the membership database and related website information, analyze volunteer data trends, and assist in updating procedures to help streamline the Membership function. Spring 2020 Internships
Food and Beverage: The intern would provide a wide range of event management and marketing support to the NYJL’s Events and Catering Business Manager and gain valuable experience and familiarity with the day-to-day operations of a nonprofit organization’s hospitality business. In return, the NYJL will provide an opportunity for the intern to gain valuable experience and familiarity with areas such as the day-to-day operations of a nonprofit organization hospitality business, how to develop and manage events, and how to work with a variety of both internal and external clients
