FORUM FOR NONPROFITS PANEL: Ensuring Longevity – Growing the Next Generation of Leaders

The New York Junior League Forum for Nonprofits is excited to announce the panelists for our morning session, “Ensuring Longevity: Growing the Next Generation of Leaders.”

Drawing on significant professional leadership experience, our panelists will discuss how to ensure your nonprofit is set up for positive organizational change and strong governance, given changing demographics. They will address how to embrace change and engage donors, employees, and volunteers to ensure your organization is sustainable for generations to come.

Anna Halpine, founder of World Youth Alliance, built this nonprofit organization from the ground up and will share essential lessons learned through her experience. Ashley Crawford, Vice President for Corporate Partnerships at Covenant House NY, will share her experience revolutionizing young professional engagement and increasing millennial support to make a greater impact in combating youth homelessness.

As Chairman of the Board, The Metropolitan Opera Guild, Inc., Winthrop Rutherfurd, Jr., has unique experience in engaging new generations of nonprofit donors, employees, and volunteers and will discuss his efforts to expand the Guild’s reach to diverse communities and a wider audience. Danny Steffel, Director, Alumni Affairs of Teach For America (TFA) NYC will explain his work collaborating with TFA alumni to ensure a collective army of educational advocates is galvanized to make New York City a leader in equal opportunity for all of its students.
